Knowledge & Help Desk

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our guide curation process, YouTube 4K relaxation footage, licensing, and responsible exploration.

Guides & Verification

How are scenic destinations chosen and verified?▼

Every featured location undergoes rigorous editorial evaluation. We prioritize geological uniqueness, cultural and historic preservation (such as medieval castles and centuries-old alpine villages), atmospheric light conditions, and natural serenity. Our field contributors personally document vantage points, trail difficulty, and transit access rather than relying on automated aggregators.

How accurate are the recommended 'Best Seasons' and golden hours?▼

Our seasonal recommendations factor in regional microclimates, foliage peak cycles, pass openings, and crowd densities. For alpine destinations like Zermatt or the Dolomites, we specify optimal summer hiking versus winter ski windows, including the 45-minute golden hour window when granite peaks catch direct alpine glow (Alpenglühen).

How frequently are destination guides updated?▼

We audit our guides on a quarterly basis and promptly adjust information whenever trail permits, conservation regulations, transit routes, or seasonal access changes. Travelers can also submit real-time updates directly via our contact desk.

Media & 4K Cinema

Can I use your photos or YouTube 4K relaxation footage?▼

All 4K video footage on our website is produced in-house for our official YouTube channel (@ScenicTripGuide). You are welcome to embed our YouTube videos for non-commercial educational purposes, provided clear attribution and links to Scenic Trip Guide are included. For commercial licensing of RAW footage or high-resolution photography, please email [email protected].

Where is the 4K relaxation footage recorded?▼

Our video series documents pristine landscapes across the globe, including cloud inversions over Swiss alpine ridges, glacial lakes in Patagonia, cherry blossom groves in Japan, and misty castle lochs in the Scottish Highlands. All audio is recorded with binaural and high-fidelity directional microphones to preserve natural ambience.

Website Features & Privacy

How does the 'Saved Places' bucket list drawer work?▼

Your saved bucket list is completely private and saved directly inside your own browser using HTML5 local storage. We do not require accounts, logins, or cookies to save places, and your saved itineraries are never transmitted or sold to third parties.

Can I export my saved bucket list for trip planning?▼

Yes! Open the Saved Places drawer from the top navbar and click 'Export Itinerary'. This immediately copies a clean, formatted text itinerary with country tags to your clipboard so you can paste it into notes, emails, or travel planning apps.

Responsible Tourism & Submissions

How does Scenic Trip Guide address overtourism?▼

We strictly observe Leave No Trace principles. We advocate visiting popular landmarks during shoulder seasons, highlight public transit alternatives (such as Swiss cogwheel trains and regional funiculars), and refrain from publishing exact GPS coordinates for hyper-fragile ecological sites that cannot withstand foot traffic.

Can I submit a hidden scenic destination from my country?▼

Yes! We welcome suggestions from local hikers, photographers, and heritage enthusiasts. Please visit our Contact page and choose 'Destination Suggestion', including location details, trail conditions, and photo links.
